Liberty Pront Recap

This weekend, four of our teams traveled from the Sunshine State to Lynchburg, Virginia, to compete in the AMCA Preliminary Round of the National Tournament at Liberty University!

After advancing from regionals, our teams were facing tough competition. Nevertheless, their hard work and practice throughout winter break were evident in their incredible arguments during the tournament!

After the first day, two of our members received a Top Orator Award:

Steven Abraham, 3rd Top Orator.

Anna Barker, 4th Top Orator.

Three of our teams advanced to day two of the tournament!

Congratulations to our Octofinalists: Andrea Ruiz Bordas and Willow Sherman!

Two of our teams advanced to the Semifinals, qualifying them for the Final Round of the National Tournament taking place in Kentucky this February!

We are so proud of all of our teams for the hard work they put into preparing for this competition, and we could not ask for better representation for UCF.

We will continue to cheer on our teams as they head to Kentucky for the Final Round of Nationals!
