Summer Meetings Began!

Hi All,

We kicked off the 2021-22 season by holding our first team summer meeting on Monday, June 7, where we broke down the Record and its components. We would first like to thank each one of you that was able to attend our first meeting, the Executive Board was thrilled to see so much enthusiasm and engagement throughout the meeting!

During the meeting, we went over the Record by discussing the procedural history, facts, issues, relevant definitions, and even shared some interesting thoughts and questions. If you did not attend the June 7th meeting, be sure to swing into office hours on Saturday, June 11 from 10am-12pm to catch up on what you might have missed. As well, Jan will be posting the recorded Zoom meetings sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Here are some fun facts pulled from the Record by your fellow teammates:

  • DeNolf shops at Amazon!

  • R0 is defined as the number of people an infected person can be expected to infect.

    • Did you know that someone infected by Measles disease has the ability to infect 12 to 18 other people? That’s a lot. If you’re infected with COVID-19, you could be expected to infect 1.5-3.5 people if precautionary measures aren’t taken.

  • DeNolf is a pescatarian, which means he does not consume chicken, pork, or meat

  • DeNolf, just like us, uses Zoom for his meetings.

  • DeNolf is a fan of baseball.

  • There are two forms of polio: paralytic polio and non-paralytic polio, but both can be fatal.

We hope to see you all at the next meeting on Monday, June 21st at 10:00 pm! See you then!
